I am in about the same set up. I have a hard wood bottom to my right 5 year old cut over in from pine thicket to my left. This is my favorite spot. Had 855 pics since the 11th on my cam. I should Atleast be able to look at a few... Maybe that big buck from last year will come out today.

Back in the tree, I came across a timber rattler on the way in, will post pics later when I have better bandwidth. Scared the crap outta me he was stretched out on the trail and saw or heard me. Coiled up so fast I nearly crapped my pants. Dang nearly tripped and fell on top of him. Good thing my heart is in good shape ... I'm Rattled...

I've got an 8 year old cutover in front of me and a hardwood bottom to my left. Got a white oak that's dropping 20 yards from here. Maybe this spot will produce today.

Back on sawtooths again. Seen 5 deer here yesterday afternoon and 1 was a decent 6 pt. just not close enough so I made a little adjustment and now I'm ready.

Trying a food plot this afternoon since we don't have many acorns. Lots of tracks in our fields. Surrounded by thinned pines and a creek bottom. Fingers crossed

First field I've hunted so far. It's a big corn field cut in mid-late September. Hoping for a nice buck, coyote or coon, I don't like taking does on evening hunts. This is the same area I saw "killer" kill that young buck last rifle season. Hope he's still in here. They just planted winter wheat a week ago

I didn't see a thing this afternoon until I climbed down at dark. Get on the ground and there was a deer about 50 yards away.
