I'm in Fosters in Tuscaloosa County. I help young archers out from time to time by giving them custom built string sets. When I shot the ASA Pro/Am Tour I used to take down all of the kids names and addresses that shot with my son in his class and send them a set. I've done it numerous times over the years on here.

I got paid back the other night. Skintback posted a youth bow for sale in the classifieds. I saw the post and commented that it was a very good deal. Boff replied a few minutes later and got the bow for his daughter. Something told me to send Boff a PM and offer his daughter a free string and bow set up. Boff replied and thanked me and we go to chatting back and forth. He asked if I would get to hunt this week and I told him it all depended on whether or not I found a car for my son, because someone had hit him and totaled his out. He PM'd me back and asked what I was looking for and I told him.

The next morning when I got up, I had a PM from Boff with a link to a Craigslist ad for the exact car in the price range I was looking for. I had been watching both the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa ads for over a week with no luck. The ad was posted right after I went to bed. I ended up calling the guy and it turns out he is retired from our training center here at Mercedes. After talking with him he offered to hold the car for me to look at when I got off work. Long story short, I got the car and will be able to kick my season off tomorrow afternoon now. So listen to those little voices in your head and pay it forward.

Amen to that. I'll be in contact about the string and cables this spring. I have decided that it would be better to have my 10 yr old son buy his first real bow, instead of just giving it to him. Her has hauled hay, gathered scrap metal, etc.. to collect enough to purchase one. Shaw, I'm looking at the Hoyt Ignite, so it can grow with him for several years to come, what is your thoughts?

HHSyelper, that's a good looking set up for a young one. The cam system looks similar to the cam system on the Mission Craze. The Craze is an excellent bow for a youngster and short draw archers. If you come to see me for a set of your strings in the spring I will set up and tune your son's bow also. No charge for his.
