dont remember the name of the launch...but its the closest launch to holt *** , about half a mile or so upriver from the *** .you know the distance between dams from holt *** to lock 17?we only went about 4 miles upriver...didnt get a good look at very much of that section.
Go with the flow and you will end up down the drain!

lock 17 is the only area i'm familiar with. i don't know how far a run it would be from holt, but it might be worth the ride.

They are killing up at Bankhead right now. I've never been on Holt, but would imagine the pattern to be about the same since it's right down river from Bankhead.
A lizzard fished Carolina Rig on main lake points is catching fish. Buddy of mine caught (30) spots last week. He was pulling up close to the bank and casting towards deep water with the Carolina Rig.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Metal,
I would have said that the pattern would have shifted to a spawning pattern by then, BUT with the freeze predicted for Monday, I'll say that it will stay the same by the time you go.

Metal,
Talked to my buddy again today. He caught 30+ at Lock 17 the other day. Texas rigged worm in about the same location. Main lake points near sheer cliffs. Wind was blowing across the point and up against the cliff. Fish were in 20+ feet of water.
