There was an entire bag of corn twenty yds from his tree. He said the GW was LAUGHING the entire time. Crazy sumbeech went back to the same tree that afternoon and shot an impressive 9pt. We did and now have an email printed out from the captain saying we are good. He said deer crossing the road to the feeder didnt matter. They seeem to be going by the rules as printed- 100 yds away and out of sight.

Section 9-11-246 provides the range of fines and punishments for hunting over bait. The penalty for hunting deer or turkey over bait is a fine of not less than $250 and not more than $500 and the Court, in its discretion may revoke the defendants hunting privileges for up to one year on a first conviction. The second and each subsequent conviction carries a fine of between $500 and $2,000, loss of hunting privileges for one year and imprisonment in the county jail for a minimum of 10 days and a maximum of 30 days. Each of the scheduled fines is exclusive of costs. For baiting small game the fine would be $25.00 and not more than $100 for a first offense.

Bankhead3471 6 point B Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 886 Alabama	1 of those deals everybody baits deer but 1 maybe 2 get a ticket. I know 10+ yrs ago it was over $400 with fine and court cost. I learned my lesson and since then I've saved no telling how much $$ on corn.
