Yep them bushy tails are getting whacked tomorrow afternoon. The boys are ready to have some fur in their mouth besides them stinking arse possums.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Squirrels were everywhere this morning running a muck. To bad it was on the city streets. Could have limited out within 20minutes. That 61 degrees at 7 this morning had them going.

It was fun this afternoon, spider webs, heat, and leaves makes it tough. Managed to shoot a couple out to Sadie.

We didn't go far should have killed two but the boys split treed and rio pulled off to go to crunch. If he would have stayed a few minutes we could have killed the one he treed but he left and I wasn't shooting without him treed. We treed a couple more times but all the leaves and big trees makes it hard. Day one and one dead I'm ready for the cooler weather this weekend and the leaves to drop.

Oakachoy, that's a nice looking cur dog! I've got a 5 month old male pup here that looks about like yours. Who's yours out of? Be careful with the tree jacking. He might come down and land on another dog or land on a stob and get hurt. I've seen both and I cringe a little every time I see a dog jumping.
It's to dang hot for me right now. I'll go after the front comes through on Friday afternoon then coon hunt Friday night and squirrel hunt Saturday morning.

Appreciate it Bugman, so how do keep one from jacking up like that, I've yet to shock her and sure don't mess her when she's treed? Shes out a Looneys 20/20 tank and Franklins thundersport.

Man she's bred right! A lot of people will hook a piece of logging chain to the collar and every time she lands it will pop her in the head. It won't take much of that and she'll quit doing it. How old is she? If you are good with a shock collar and she's finished out then as soon as she starts to jump you can bump her with the collar and tell her to quit that jumping. If she's just getting started I'd try the logging chain.
Also, I tie all of mine back when I get to the tree. Some people like to do that and some don't. That'll stop her when you get there but the chain will stop her when your not. Hope that helps!!

No luck for me today in Oakmulgee but I had my untrained lab with me who'd rather chase sticks than squirrels. She doesn't like to sit still for long so no surprise.

I did see a few at a distance. I'll be back out on Sunday without the distraction.

My old female is a mountain view cur. They are basically a tight bred kemmer dog. My puppy is out of Ammo x sue. Ammo is out of tree knockin mike.

That pup is jam up! I saw that tailgate pic you posted, my year old gyp looks a lot alike. I got an old Gold Nugget male from Jamestown 7 years ago, I like them Kemmers and yellow curs.

My squirrel dog is from PetSmart of Bessemer. Has some Beagle in her, but has never seen a rabbit before. Trained to tree squirrels on the University quad (apparently not illegal). She points at deer. Hmmm....
