MIL has a nice snapper mower. Probably bought new 8 or 9 years ago maybe. Runs good. She always mows with my john deere so the snapper just takes up space. Told her she just needs to sell it but don't really know what it's worth. What yall think?

Dang, this is a legit thread. I had my mind in the gutter.

Dad just sold one like that but I think his was a Tecumseh motor. 5 years old. Asked $950 and took $900. Sold in 1 day. I think his had a bagger and a mulching attachment.

^^^This pretty much sums it up. There seems to be a new interest in these type mowers. A friend of mine had the same experience as listed by bamachem.

I'd say $1000. They are great mowers I've used them most of my life. One belt, nylon bushings everywhere. Don't give it away if it cranks and runs good you may have to wait till spring to get what it's worth. I use a Ninja blade on mine and mulch the grass and leaves in the fall.

I bought one just like it 8 or 10 years ago, brand new, and paid $1100 for it.

BTW, snapper is in the process of closing it's doors. Dad sold his to get something that's less complicated as his health isn't great and my boys are about to take over some of his yard work for him. He ended up buying a new Husqvarna. Dealer he bought it from is an Equipment Dealer locally that used to carry snapper, but had to drop them due to all the warranty issues and problems.

The used Snapper riding mowers are being bought up because people who want one won't be able to get them anymore one they close up. The dealers said that anything over about 2-3 years old are the "good" ones. Anything newer, and they're junk.

I been wanting a bag attachment guess I need to go ahead and get it!
