Hey guys what everyone got to say about the WindPros product line for deer lures/mock scape? Anyone else having a hard time understanding how liquid buck lures wouldnt prevail against this? Anyone using this system? Overall opinions please. Thanks

IMO, just another gimmick to drain your wallet. Never used it though.

It just seems like they have found a way to infuse the lures we all know and use(buck, doe, etc) into the powdery corn starch looking matter used in windicators...Seems like it very well could be 100% for real.......I just don't see that powder doing as much scent output as a liquid lure? ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE USING THIS?

just from my experience the only thing "lures" are good for is to "lure" the dead presidents out of your wallet

Don't know about most, but some find where the does are bedding and feeding during the rut and use natures best lure. whistle

I'd guess it isn't worth it. I don't use lures though so who knows.

I shot an 8pt with his nose in a scrape that I had put it in it did not spook him did slow him down enough to get kilt.

don't use lures or scents anymore. Tried them for a few years and found that all they did was waste my money.

Very well put Dogs.. I havent wasted a dime on any scent "attractant" in years. I had some does in KY up wind of me but down wind of some Tinks cotton swabs I had put up. Once they caught wind of it, they were gone.

For better results, leave the mock scrape kit at home and go get a one of those Acorn Cruncher things... grin

Same here. In my opinion hunting the wind is the single most important thing you can do. You don't need any lures or cover scents to achieve success in doing this.

I have never had luck with commercial scents either, but ran across a method on accident one time for dispersing scent that works. It was during the rut and I shot a doe early. With a lot of hunting time left I just left her laying. A couple hours later a young 6pt came in grunting and nose to the ground. He went straight too her. I wound up giving him a pass, but if I still need freezer meat during the rut I'll shoot a doe and leave her laying there putting out fresh scent. smile
