After church Sunday we went for lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant and due to an eye trouble I Asked my wife to drive home. I had my eyes closed and was doing great and suddenly we hit something hard. I yelled "what was that" to which my wife responded "I don't know, I didn't see it". I looked around and the car behind us was dodging something in the road. I was afraid that we had hit somebody. We pulled into a business and I got out to inspect the damage to the 2013 Tahoe. The front bumper was caved in on the passenger side, the fender well was gone, the cowling under the bumper was hanging down as was the parking light. I decided it was drive able so we went back to see what we hit. There was this huge dog under the guard rail. My wife saw it and said "that can't be what I hit it is all swelled up already". We pulled into the nearest driveway and I walked back and realized it was just a big fat dog. What the car behind us was dodging was our fender well that came out in two parts. I've never seen a big vehicle get this kind of damage from a dog before. It will cost us our $1000 deductible.

Found out why my eye has been giving me fits for a week. Just had a sliver of metal pulled from my cornea. Still hurts like mad but the doc said it would be like new in the morning.

I was having breakfast a couple of weeks ago in Troy and one of the bosses of K&W Plastics was at the table. We were talking about their product and he said one of their big clients was plastics companies that supplied Ford. (K&W makes plastic pellets that are formed to products by other companies) He said every Ford pickup make in the US had about 27 pounds of their plastics product in it.

Wuss. laugh That's rough, I know.

Back in the early 80's my parents had a Chevy van. It had a chrome bumper on the front that had to be close to 1/4" thick. We were going to town one night and hit a Great Dane. I thought the van was going to flip over. It dented that bumper.

haleyville al,
I picked up my car at a body shop after a deer landed in the middle of hood. That was 5500.00 in damages. Made it 2 miles down the road and hit a full grown lab. He busted the grill out of the car and was wedge in their. Busted the radiator and broke a motor mount. Around 3500.00 that go around. My insurance company was pissed to say the say the least.
