We used to put peanut butter on apples and deer went crazy for it. I don't know what it is about peanut butter but they love it.

I've used it a few times.... You better hope the deer find it before the ants..... I've had pictures with their tongue buried in it... And I've had no pictures when I walk up and it's black with ants....

I knew a guy that swears he killed a doe with a peanut butter covered wood chunk stuck to the side of her head. He would walk through the woods smearing it on little pieces of tree bark and stuff on the way to his stand.
In my opinion he was not a liar 15% of the time so this information may be useless.

I have used peanut butter before screw the lids to the tree and cut the bottom out of the jar. The deer cleaned the jars out and didn't leave the ants anything. Works great if you can find peanut butter cheap. I used the cheapest dollar store peanut butter.

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week. Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

I tried it last year. Screwed the top to a tree and cut the bottom out. Also spread corn all over the ground. Deer wouldn't touch the peanut butter but obviously ate the corn. Coons took care of the peanut butter. It was a complete waste of time and money. Any body ever mix corn with peanut butter?

every time I tried it there were little paw prints in it. No pictures on camera either. Wait one time there was a golden retriever?
It is what it is.

I've had deer clean it out & in other places they don't touch it. I think deer are a little leery of things they've never tasted or smelled and it takes time for them to warm up to it.

It's really good on saltines.
I tried that about 20 years ago in Lee county. I don't think a deer ever touched it.
