Right now I've got about a hundred bites from my thighs down Thermacell is really for when you're sitting still, so that the vapors can envelop you in their invisible cloud and keep the skeeters away. Probably not gonna work well at keeping chiggers off your boots and pants leg walking through tall grass -- for that you'd need to hose down with spray repellant.

Another vote for Thermacell. Best thing to come out for bow hunters in a long while.

I don't know how any avid outdoorsman lives without one. They are awesome to have on the boat too at certain times. Or on the porch if you have skeeter issues.
