I noticed white oak acorns on the ground a few weeks ago, but just figured a bad storm came thru and knocked some out of the trees early. Went back this past weekend and saw more on the ground. Apparently they are dropping already, which by my calculations is at least 4 to 5 weeks early. Anyone else noticed this?

yup, ours are dropping north of Stevenson since before labor day weekend. We didn't have any acorns falling last year and this year coming down too soon so I'm not sure what's going to happen this year. At least my food plots are looking a lot better than last year.

Seeing plenty here and I also thought they were falling a little early. Global climate warming.

I saw a few white oak acorns on the ground the other day and not really very many in the trees in the woods in the northern part of Jackson the other day. Chestnut oaks were a different story. Never seen so many chestnut oak acorns in my life. Looked to be even bigger than normal too.

I've spent about 16 days in the woods this month and the chesnut oaks are raining. Few white oak dropping.
