this may get interesting but unfortunately there won't be a video. A friend of mine has a really nice hornet's nest hanging about 4 feet off the ground on a cedar tree. I'm gonna go into stealth mode at dark 30 and bring it home.
I scoped it out at noon today and they only have one entry/exit hole.

Just stick your thumb in the hole and they can't get out. The hole is more the size of a tennis ball and I ain't sticking my tripod leg in there although it would plug the hole.

This might be better than the "identify this turd" thread that Wiley started last year! There may be some turds dropped in tis effort  No alcohol involved since I have to drive about 15 miles for this circus ride to happen. I sure could use some liquid courage though. I'm thinking goose down coveralls, BIG towel wrapped around my neck and a motorcycle helmet with face shield if I can come up with one.
