Document every time you try to contact them. Write down dates and times and make notes of anything they tell you. Bypass the lawyer and go to the county court house where they live and file papers in small claims court against them. If you wrote a check, get the copy of the cancelled check. If you paid cash-Make sure you remember who you gave it to. Find a good quiet place you can think and write down every comment they told you when you met them. Write down everything they said no matter how small it may seem. Small Claims court will be your best friend.
