We need a head count to plan for food. We are planning on cooking supper Friday night and Saturday night along with breakfast Saturday morning and Sunday morning.

Rocket62 has agreed to help with bringing the food, but we need a way to get him the money to do so. He has suggested Pay Pal to him and he would bring it along. Do we have any other suggestions?

We prefer this to be an alcohol free family event. We are also planning a little devotional Sunday morning before we break camp, if anyone want to volunteer.

I'm taking my 4 wheeler and plan on riding also. Everybody that wants to bring your ATV. There are miles and miles of good trails.

Final Plans :

• Campsite is at Little Coon campground. Meet there or meet us at Walmart (see next bullet)
• Meet 6AM at Walmart in Scottsboro on Saturday October 4
• We will be getting groceries there at Walmart then heading out to the campsite. Bring your own OR grocery shop with us here and we'll get all we need.

Directions To Camp:

I measured this all off Google Pro, I've never been there so Bigbamaboy can elaborate if necessary ...

• Take HWY 72 to the highway interchange near Stevenson.
• Turn North West onto CR 117
• Drive 1.3 miles into Stevenson. Here 117 turns left, stay on it
• Drive another 1.4 miles and turn left onto 55
• Drive 3 miles and come to the intersection with 54
• Keep right and continue North 7.5 miles
• Campground is on the right

Note that once you turn onto the last 7.5 mile stretch cell service will not be available

Verizon, will get service at Rash Comminity Center, from their to big corn feild on the left. So about 5.5 miles from camp if you need to make a call! I will come-up friday nite. Will try to bring a few custom rifles IF anyone wants to shoot 500 yards or so. And will bring some 3rd Generation Night Vision and IR lasers if anyone is interested In demoing some high end NV!

Rocket, the directions look good except, you turn left onto CR 53 off of 117, then right on CR 54 at the split.

I'll be out of town that weekend, but if any of y'all are up that way during hunting season we can meet one Friday night in Skyline and eat the all-you-can-eat rib buffet at Sam's like we did last year.

No. We have pulled atv trailers in and out with a 2wd ford ranger. No problem. When you get to that creek bed, you turn right. He was sitting with 50 yards of the camp ground.

Report. I went up for a visit this afternoon. Looks like a good time is being had by all. A couple of them reported seeing a couple of Painters and a Sasquatch this afternoon. I think the painters were red though. BBB had some fine lookin' and smellin' chili cooking over the fire, boys got skills.

Enjoyed the morning and met some more quality people.

Well we had fun, but we needed some of yall to come help eat.

Roadkill said his wife was on vacation, so he was gonna eat anything he wanted to!

Great time, great folks. I sure enjoyed my $4K excursion to the bus in the dark ... Didn't have any trouble finding a clear spot even tho it was pitch black outside

Had a good time. Good meeting y'all. Really enjoyed the cooking. BBB- what I did when I got home (barely made it) would have done well for what I did that time in Cambodia. That would have shut down the entire camp site for a week.
And Rocket62 - in all my years in the military I NEVER knew anyone spend twenty minutes learning how to use $4K worth of night vision equipment (bullet proof helmet incl) just so they could go take a s**t in the dark. to you too.

They better watch out for brown snakes over by that bus!

Also, FYI Ridgestalker has a hard time of keeping up with his firewood.

Enjoyed my few minutes. Sorry I didn't make it back by. My projects took a lot longer than expected. I didn't even make it back for kickoff for AU but got dang close.

Hopefully some of yall will spend some time up there and we can hang out at the camp this fall.

The ol' boy does like his toys Just wish I could afford them. Guess I'll just play with his expensive stuff.
