Sorry guys I know this isn't the correct place to post this but I need a quick response , a buddy of mine has a encore 243 with 45 muzzleloading barrel for sale. It's in good condition . What's a fair price for the package ? It's blue with wood .

From what I have seen: Blued frame, with stocks, and rifle barrel ~$500 (.243 could be pistol or rifle, rifle usually cost more). Scope and mounts would up that a bit, depending on the scope. Stainless usually ups the price $50 to $100 also.

The muzzle loader barrels run $300-$350 new.

they are fun guns, and can be addicting.

I will also add that most people who buy and trade Encores and Contenders trade components, So there is a market for everything you listed on an individual basis if it isn't what you want.

With the exception of the frame, ebay will give you a good idea about what fair market value is for components. There are also a couple of message boards that have Thompson classified sections.

I sure wouldn't pay that for one and I own several.. BP barrels can be had relatively cheap on the used market. I don't shoot BP but have bought several packages that included a BP barrel and found it very difficult to move one without nearly giving it away.

A blue receiver with a rifle barrel is worth about $450 if it's all in near perfect shape and comes with the scope mount. Add about $50 for stainless receiver and barrel.

The current blue book of gun values values them less than I do...

You can buy a brand new one with camo stock set for under $600
