Just had the string and cable replaced on my 6 year old Bowtech Guardian. Had it done at Archery Unlimited in Prattville. They also recommended using Beman 400 arrows so I bought a dozen.

David told me the new setup would shoot a little high since my old string was stretched but it wouldn't be much since I was going to a heavier arrow (was shooting Beeman 500s).

Well, I got home yesterday and shot it. First shot was about a foot high, missed the whole target, hit the fence, broke one of my new arrows. I went to the indoor range today and shot at a big bag target. At 20 yards it's shooting about a foot high and 4 inches left. I adjusted the left part okay but I am only able to adjust out about 6 inches of the height since my sight is as high as it will adjust. I'm shooting a single pin Carolina sight. Normally it is dead on at 23 yards.

Any ideas?

Sounds like your peep is set too high or the nock point is too low. Carry it back to them and let them know what's going on. To check the peep, draw your bow with your eyes closed, anchor then open your eyes. If you have to raise or lower your head to see through the peep, it needs to be moved.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try it.

Can I move the peep myself?

Depends on how it is tied in. If you move it up or down it will twist the string as well and you will have to reposition your nock loop.

I drew back with my eyes closed and had to lower my head slightly to align the peep and the pin. Looks like the peep needs to be moved up some.

I'm just going to take it back to David this week and have him adjust it for me. Thanks for the help.

That will in itself make you shoot higher (raising peep). The Guardian has two timing dots on the cams. Be sure your string is in them in the same area on both cams. If timing is good your nock point may not be set properly, high or low but probably high.
