Anyone ever used Marks to put on string? What did I it cost and were you satisfied?

$140 seems pricy. Is that the norm?

Marks is a bad idea.... Last bow I took there they didn't put enough twist in the string.... My top cam was leaning real bad... Lucky I looked at it before walking out the door.... Had I not looked... Went home and shot it... It would have probably come off the cam and blown up in my face.... Then guess who's fault it would have been.... I'll never take another bow to Marks as long as I'm alive....

I'd use Grabow over Mark's for bow work. That's where I bought my bow and had everything set up and paper tuned. They can also do the custom String Addictions strings there too.

Richard get with Shaw on here. He can make you any string or cable you need for that Matthews. He will also set it up like it should be. And I might add his strings have a touch of luck to them. smile

It will be a drive to his house but worth every mile..trust me.

In closing do not let Mark's bow techs touch your bow!!

X2 on Shaw

But if u r wanting something closer u might want to check out Nichols in Pelham. I'm not sure who they use to build strings but my Chill R I bought from them had a custom string on it. It seems to be good quality.

Do not take it to marks! Get with shaw if you want it done right.

Another suggestion: http://www.vaportrailarchery.com/

They build custom sets with VTX (their string) or 452X. I had one made a few years back and have been happy with it. You will need someone with a press to put it on, but I think I paid 90 bucks for a complete set of strings and cables for my Hoyt Maxxis.
