I used this liquid fertilize last year. http://biogreenusa.com/biogreenusa/products/biogreen-wildlife/I beleive it saved me several hundred dollars when compared to granular. However, it's a pain to apply if you don't have a water source close by or the right sprayer. A ATV sprayer will NOT work with this stuff. It will plug it up tighter than dicks hat ban. It does work well with my 55 gal boomless sprayer I use on my tractor. My food plots looked just as good as they always have maybe even a bit better. I know the product made for legumes that I used on my clover/Chicory plots made them do awesome. I had some of the best looking clover and chicory fields you'd ever want to see. The only reason I did not use it this year was lack of water. We used 55 gal drums last year and it sucked mixing this stuff. Now if I had some kind of electric pump rigged to pump the water it wouldn't have been suck a pain in the butt. I'd recommend this stuff if your trying to save some money and are set up to apply it. My dealer also told me to scratch it under after apply which I did.

Squeaky, get you a 12 volt pump, or you could use a 120 volt with an inverter. One of those submergible ones like people use to suck water off their pool tarps. On second thought thit wouldn't fit thru the bung hole on your drum. They have them that run off batteries, we used to use them to pump kerosene into our heaters years ago, back when everybody was using those.

Lance go to the website posted below. This is my supplier I use for my food plot products I plant in the Midwest. Don Willis has been easy for me to do business with and his customer service is good also. The website has a price sheet attached in the right hand column. He ships right to me at an afford rate so it's very convenient. If you have a business address that has a loading dock the shipping rates are much better. This is the route I go as I have a few contacts that take care of me on that end. http://dbwoutdoors.com/

Lance looking over my spread sheet I use to track my cost for food plots, the liquid fertilize was $354.03 cheaper for the same amount of acreage applied at 100 LB higer rate per acre than what I did with granular. The year I bought granular I appiled 200 LB per acre of bulk granular fertilize. The year I used the liquid I applied at 300 LB rate and saved the extra money listed below. My cost in 2013 was $800 to fertilize 15.25 AC of food plots. My cost in 2012 for same amount of acreage at a 200 LB rate was $1140. This is bulk fertilize so it's a little cheaper than bag cost.

Liquid fertilizer does not evaporate into the air. Most of it seeps into the ground. What doesn't go into the soil, does have the water portion of the fertilizer evaporate leaving the fertilizer on the ground or organic matter. ok

Are you comparing 1lb of granular fertilizer to 1lb of liquid fertilizer? I'm assuming you're not, but just wondering, because they granular would be much more potent, pound-for-pound.

No I don’t guess I am. All I know for sure is the Biogreen calls for 2.5 gals per acre. I asked Don to send me enough liquid fertilizer to apply the equivalent of 300 lb of granular to the acre. He figured the amount somehow and sent what I needed. He’s the expert and he’s never steered me wrong on his products. I’m sure he can explain this stuff in more detail if asked to do so. I’ll be upfront and very honest about this stuff. I was very…very sceptical of trying liquid fertilize but plot money was running low and it kept me within budget. All I can say is it worked great for me with the result I saw. It was used on over 30 acres of food plots that year between 3 farms. I even had 10 acres of plots go 5 weeks without rain and they still done well. I did not see any huge differences in results based off liquid verses granular. It produced results I was happy with and saved us some money is about all I can say. It may not work for anyone else but I’m giving my results and opinion. If not for such a pain to mix I would have used it again this year. The savings of $300 is a nice savings to me with the cost of stuff these days.

A friend of mine gave me a gallon of Mirimichi Green Pro Foliar Fertilizer concentrate to try on a couple of food plots. If it works like he says it will save a ton of money on our food plots. www.mirimichigreenexpress.com for more info. There is one place in DeFuniak Springs that will sell it, I don't know about any other places selling it. If it works I'll have some pictures from our experiment plots..
