Long story short, had a new string made by a local guy. Peep sight rotated 180 degrees upon drawing the bow. We tried everything, adding twists, removing twists. Finally we removed the end serving from the idler wheel all the way down to 2" above the roller cable guard.
Peep is now rock solid with zero rotation. Is it safe to shoot a bow without end serving around the idler wheel? ( bare string)
What do u say?

Some of the PSE's come without the idler wheel served, but the string tracks are wider than most bows. Personally I don't like it. Serving is placed on a bowstring to protect it in high wear areas. On your bow the bare string will be rolling across the idler wheel every time you draw and fire the bow. Keep an eye on it and make sure you keep a check for grit and trash. Also if the buss cable yoke isn't properly timed it may cause wear to one side of the string.
Your buddy either had the idler serving served in the wrong direction or he let the string twist while he was serving it.
