we are a Christian country. Negative, we are a country with religious freedom.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

We ALL know that those books shouldn't have been in that library. FFP and his wife did the right thing to remove them. They should have never been there in the first place. Be outraged at that, not at them being rightfully removed. What books? Did you see titles? I bet the school board would schit it's collective pants if they knew a librarian was letting her husband weed out books he didn't like.

Today I came across a book written WAY back in the 70's that would have been realistic fiction. However, I noted in the summary it was about a girl helping her sister deal with getting an abortion. Nothing near what the title or information on the cover would indicate.
I also came across one from 1986 that would also have been realistic fiction that was to help a teen deal with his psycho parents who believed in GOD.... Yeah, I'll just have to agree will y'all in the fact that our value systems are vastly different. I will NEVER agree that these two topics are appropriate for a middle school library. Also this country was founded as a Christian country with religious freedom. Bone up on your history. You don't have to like the truth or even acknowledge it nowadays...but it's still the truth.

My god 3 pages of this mess..He found the books inappropriate for the kids..He took it upon himself to take them off the shelf..He,im sure showed the books to his wife which is the librarian.Im sure she agreed the books need to be removed. Now she will take the necessary steps to get them removed from the library the proper way.Was it up to fatty to dictate whether the books were appropriate? No..Was it up to fatty to bring to the attention of his wife the fact that he THOUGHT the books were inappropriate?Hell yes.Hes a parent just like us and was just looking out for EVERYONES kids who has parents that give a chit about what their kids read. Some parents dont give a rats ass and wouldnt care if their kids brought home that junk or not but if my 9yr old daughter brought home a book about abortion or about a psycho family trying to convince their daughter god wasnt real i would have a talk with the school as im sure most would...but wait...Who am i to say the books inappropriate?...im only a concerned parent so i guess my opinion on the matter dont count.See how retarded that sounds? If a concerned parent request the book be taken off the shelf after their kid checks the book out i dont see why yall jumping on fatty for the same thing before the books checked out. That is the problem, not EVERY family feels the same as your family does. IT's not up to ONE person to decide what books are and aren't appropriate for everyone.

I understand what you're saying...But whos to decide? The librarian,8th grade teachers?principal and vice principal, lunch ladys, board of education,Obama??????Who...and how many people if not just one??Thats the problem...To damn many people just wait for someone else to take care of chit instead of just taking care of it themselves. All he done was took em off the shelves...did i miss the part where he said he took em outta the school and home with him to burn?Didnt think so.He was concerned they were inappropriate, pulled em and like he said the school or his wife will dispose of em in whatever way they feels necessary. For all we know they may put em right back on the shelf then this whole thread is worthless.I still say he done the right thing for the MAJORITY of parents will agree with him.

Sounds like a Bunch of Liberal, ACLU, Tree Hugger, Green Peace, Atheist lovers up in here... Because we question who has the authority to ban a book from a library? Maybe you would be more in tune with the fascist party. Dig those ol' jack boots out of the back of the closet!!! LOL!

This was all hashed out in about 1790, and was the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
