Wish I could help. I'm sure someone here has some knowledge on it. Thanks YEKRUT. I know someone on here has tore one of these open . No doubt about it. Just hope someone can point me in the right direction on whats tore up inside it. Lots of parts inside those.

You are correct, sorta. The EZT's (Economical Zero Turn) were not designed to be easily serviced. They were designed to go on lower end ZT mowers and to outlast the rest of the mower. The thought was if the transmission lasted 5 or 6 years, the rest of the mower would be falling apart around it. These were the box store ZT mowers of <$1800 from 7 or 8 years ago.
For instance, most of the Hustlers mentioned above use the ZT2800 series of transmissions, not the EZT's. The ZT2800's have oil drain plugs and spin-on filters. Unless they've been recently added, the EZT's have neither. You can still change the oil on a EZT, but I think you have to take it off the mower, roll it over and drain the oil through the vent. So, it is doable, but requires a lot more effort than their more expensive units.
Do you have a parts manual? What exactly does the transmission do?
