Me and my lady got into a friendly debate about how to pronounce "Sawyer" on the way home from supper.
I say it how its spelled "Saw-Yer"
Her and her women friends all say "Soy-er"

My newest grandson is named Sawyer. The Dr at St. Vincent's pronounced it Soy-er

She must be from auburn. Those east AL folks mispronounce everything. Coach Shug JORdan, not JERdan....  I am an Alabama fan, but, it is JERdan. My great grandmother was a JERdan. My dad's middle name is JERdan. Like Mortimer JERdan high School. Just because it is spelled Jordan, doesn't make it JORdan.
