I've got an exhaust leak on my truck I need to see about and was thinking of going ahead and pulling the converters off and running straight pipes. I know shops aren't supposed to do that and it's hard to find one that will unless you know somebody. If anybody knows a shop around B'ham that will do this, please let me know. You can send me a PM if you'd like, so as not to put it out there publicly. Thanks.

if Sumiton isnt too far of a drive I know of a guy up there that will do it & does the o2 sensor delete so it wont throw a code. I will get his # this evening. you looking for a performance gain or your old ones just go bad & trying to save $?

Go with the flow and you will end up down the drain!

Little of both. My parents live in the Sumiton area so I'm up there pretty regularly. That would be great.

so, if say someone was to cut the converters out of an old '95 pickup, it would just throw an o2 sensor check engine light up?

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

What about sensors in an '04 jeep? Catalytic was just replaced yesterday. This conversation is 2 days late and $975 short. smile
