You don't ask questions buddy you just buy sweetheart anything she wants I'm just trying to decide whether to go with the tahoe, or get a 4runner. I don't know about the hybrid part but I'd get a Tahoe for the extra room.

id stick with an american company Oh you mean GM that took all those bailouts? I have a 4 runner and love it. I'm sure Tahoes are great too, but I wouldn't let the American thing sway me. I'd rather support a company for making a good product.

I am just looking for experience with the hybrid part.

I work at a steel mill and we send the majority of our automotive steel to Mexico to.....you guessed it GM and Ford. Made in America and Assembled in America are not the same thing.

My wife has one. They are nice cars. More roomy than a small 4 runner. When its time to get her a new one we will be getting another Tahoe. Any trouble with the electric motors or the battery pack?

Don't quote me on this, but my dad was looking at a hybrid for commuting and he read that the electric system can shock you to death, if you're not on a properly insulated floor, when messing with the engine. I think that scared him off.

I done some research on that exact vehicle when I seen one for sale just out of curiosity. I found only good-great reviews on it. I do remember that its only electric like 27mph and below then both the electric motor and the 6.0L run parallel beyond that.
With that said an average fuel economy of 20-21 is great. I just dont know if its good enough for me to get over a tried and true straight gas 5.3 or 6.0 Tahoe. Especially to keep from worrying about having to replace or work on that hybrid stuff Im sure that HAS to be taken to the dealer.
