Hey guys, Im looking to see about if there is any interest in anyone looking to join a trophy buck only club in North Alabama.
This IS a club where ONLY Trophy bucks that can be harvested. No does are allowed to be shot.

It is beautiful land located in Lawrence county. It is around 1100 - 1200 acres. It is 2/3 agricultural fields ( approximately 700 acres planted in soybean currently) with woodlots, hedgerows, creek side woodlots, some thickets and a swampy area cutting it up. It has some very beautiful hardwoods wood lots too.

It has a few very nice elevated shooting houses (the store bought kind with sliding windows etc.).

There are also food plot areas and ladder stands set up as well.

It looks and hunts like the midwest.

It also includes a VERY nice redone 2 story house to be used for a hunting camp. It is 3-4 bedrooms with 3 baths. It has a very nice view from the house as well. It is a 4 star type hunting club/camp.

The dues will be $2000 a year, including use of the camp house.

There will only be 5 members taken to join the 2 people who own and manage the land.

The rules are simple...only MATURE bucks over 3 years old, 8 points or better, beyond their ears will be allowed to be harvested.
Pretty much only a buck you would mount is allowed to be shot.

You MUST be able to practice trigger restraint and ONLY shoot big bucks and MUST allow all others to walk. There will be a fine for shooting substanard bucks, one time. After that it is expulsion WITHOUT any refund.

You MUST practice low pressure/low impact type hunting. There are no guests allowed, and each member is ONLY allowed a MAX of 2 bucks.

It is TRULY a trophy buck only place to hunt, with high protein agricultural food sources for the deer. The deer and property have been very well managed.

PM if interested please. Thanks!

If I didn't have a 9 year old with me all the time, I would be all over this.

atlbravos owns property on one side of this piece, and I own property on the other. Like he said...great deer hunting but no turkeys.

It is actually closed to turkey hunting in our area..no season.

because when we started here you couldnt BUY a whitetail period.

We had VERY few deer at all. The first season (11 yrs ago) I saw 3 deer TOTAL all year on my property...and I hunted alot!
It took us over 10 years to HAVE a huntable population of deer. And us practicing a TON of trigger restraint.

This isnt south bama with lots of deer. Our county CURRENTLY has 15 deer or LESS per square mile from the DNR map. When we started the deer were probably 3-5 deer per square mile. We now can see 15 in ONE food plot much less per square mile.

We GREW a stable huntable population of deer.

We are a group of guys that cooperate and ONLY have the hunting we have now because on over 5000 acres of our land and our neighbors, we DID not shoot the heck out of our herd. We managed it and ONLY shoot bucks 3 years or older, 8 points or better..period. We are all land owners and there are 5 cooperating owners. This is a piece that a family has hunted and no others. They are opening it up for a few people.

NONE of us shoot ANY does... period. Now we see deer everytime we hunt and have a great buck to doe ratio.

We have created a very good population of deer who ARE NOT pressured and are not nocturnal.

I have friends who hunt 3-4 miles away and on their land THEY still dont see many deer...but in their area their neighbors DO shoot does. They also NEVER have shot ANY good bucks on their property. We shoot VERY big bucks on ours.

We have worked extremely hard to have the hunting we do...and its gotten the best its been the last couple years. We see a lot of young bucks and does...and we occasionally get to see some nice shooter bucks which we harvest.

Our management strategy will stay the same because it is working,...and if its not broke...dont fix it.

He's got a prime spot. I'd be all over it if I didn't have what I have in Fayette county. Shouldn't have any problem getting members.

Just make dang sure you get the right ones. Too much to lose if you get one bad apple. But I'd bet he wouldn't last long.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Matt.

I know youve seen atlbravos05 land too. You should see the plots he has in now.

He bought a tractor and has been making sure he gets his moneys worth. Have him text you or email you pics of his strip plots. Corn, clover and beans he planted in strips. Its pretty impressive looking and he has the deer feeding in them at all times.

Also have him text or email you a few of the bucks hes been getting on film regularly. He has REALLY enhanced his habitat on his land for sure.

We are being super particular as you can imagine and think the last two spots are going to a member from here and his friend. Hes a big buck hunter and we know he will practice trigger restraint.

It will only be 6 people I believe, the owner and his friend who own the camp and the land, his brother and one other friend. When they heard yesterday they decided to all chip in $2000 each to pay for it to keep it managed well.

Then the two people from here hopefully.

It is Squeaky and a friend of his. I invited him as soon as I heard yesterday am. I KNOW he wont shoot anything small.
I TOLD you we were being particular!
