Josht101 would like to know myself. I have a lake house on Lay that I am thinking about doing the same. The wife has just about talked me into moving there permanently. We just signed a sales contract on a chunk of land on lay so I'm trying to decide wether to sell my house and move there or stay a few more years and then move. Some of the construction costs may be my deciding factor along with flood insurance. I may wait until I can pay cash to build the house if flood insurance is outrageous.

You're looking at $20-$25 a sq. ft. Just depends on how deep the water is. That don't include boat lifts or power being run. You can pm me and we will discuss and come take a look at it if you'd like. We mainly work on the Warrior, but we've built a couple on Lay (Waxahatchee creek)for you to check out also. Do y'all normally jet the pilings or drive them. I will know a little more about how deep it is this afternoon. I would have no problem doing the construction myself once I get the pilings driven. I do plan on putting 1 lift in. If you do pile driving what is a typical cost per piling.
