TatSoul OP 4 point Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 516 Gulf Breeze FL	Took this video this morning.Been working with him now for about 3 weeks on blood.This trail is about 4 hours old.Blood drops are about 10 feet apart give or take.Been making the trails zig zag more and not go in a straight line.He gets a little hung up sometimes but finds his way.Any pointers from experienced trackers im all ears.Cant wait till season starts so i can put him some live action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOFA5wPOg-w

I have thought about getting a daschund pup and training him, but I'm not sure if I want to do it. The only problem I see with a big dog is handling in the thick woods. I use to have a big bluetick that would blood trail, but that big son of a gun would kill you going thru the thick woods.

Maybe you could get a long cane pole with a rag dipped in blood and stand off the trail 10-15 feet while you put it out. jmlane
