The governor says he was notified of the decision by the federal government. The Associated Press reports that Communications Director Jennifer Ardis said the governor's chief of staff got a call from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, late Wednesday afternoon confirming the plan. Ardis said it's not known how many children will be placed at the base or how soon they will arrive. Ardis said Governor Bentley and five other governors joined in sending a letter to President Obama Tuesday expressing concern that the immigrant children will end up using public resources funded by the state. [DOCUMENT: Letter to President Obama from governors (.pfd)] No state resources are being used to house the children. According to Lt. Col. Thomas Crosson in the Secretary of Defense's office, the Defense Department says the space at Maxwell/Gunter Air Force Base was offered to Health and Human Services for use. It was up to the department whether the children would be housed there.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

What better way to swing the vote than to inject the voters into the each state. Fixed it for you. They'll say they need to spread around the immigrant kids so each state can have some and not be overloaded in one area.

This is what a friend of mine just posted "The clinic@ Maxwell is already over- booked & short-staffed, especially in regards to pediatrics, (my kids can't ever get an appt!) so I am curious as to how the healthcare of these children will be handled and by who. My heart goes out to these kids, but my common sense wonders if my own children will be made "less of priority" on the very base that their Dad served at for our country. I hope not, guess we'll see soon."
