Guess before you open this: What percent of kids are born to unwed mothers?

Are our welfare laws compounding this problem by giving more $ to unwed mothers than to married mothers?

Please don't make this a race thing, because it is an American problem.

If you're black, it pays to breed. And it pays very well if you tweak the system just right. It pays other races as well but blacks overwhelmingly extort the system due to 3 or 4 generations of fatherless upbringing AND the racist bastards like Sharpton, Jackson and OBAMA that keep blacks believing that whites owe them the sun and the moon from the day that a REPUBLICAN declared an end to slavery.

Now, all that being said, my white son and his white wife gross about 80K per year and due to having 3 white kids in the house, they actually qualify for food stamps. They don't participate and take food stamps but they could. The family does just fine, owns their own home, decent vehicles that are paid for, etc but my son's work ethic and pride would never allow him to take food stamps unless he couldn't make it on his own.

Imagine what that graph would look like if you counted to almost 500,000 abortions of black babies each year.

It's a horrible crisis. Yes it's totally brought on by subsidies. The sad part is all those folks getting food stamps aren't being taught to "fish" just getting the fish. And in 15 years the cycle all repeats and expands.

If you can't afford them you don't need to breed them. Nothing racist to it just the ugly truth.

Oh by the way I guessed 25% I was close in one race anyway.

Whats crazy is to look back at the 50's.. I would give anything to go back in time and be born during the depression and raised in the 50's-60's.. I bet nobody has ever said that before, but its the truth..

The government encourages this. I've mentioned an employee on here before. He and his GF have three kids. They live in a 3BR house in the project for $75/mo., utilities paid. Officially, it's in her name, set up with her being a single mom. If he were on the record as being present, it goes to $400/mo.with them having to pay part of the utilities. This ain't right, but they're simply using the system.

Because my tax money is going to pay for it, so it is MY PROBLEM. It is every person that is paying taxes problem.

More numbers regarding race: I did NOT know this, but looked it up.
72.5% black babies (598,707 black babies were born)
29% white babies (2,853,019 white babies were born)

434,000 black babies born out of wedlock
827,000 white babies born out of wedlock

If we assume that 90% of them are on welfare:
390k blacks babies on welfare
744k white babies on welfare

The whites may be a bigger drain on the system. I don't know and would like to know the numbers.

I think that we need to start helping people that help themselves. Stop encouraging out of wedlock births.

Wiley, I think that folks like your son; kids working to make ends meet and the cost of living has him in a hole should be the first to get a hand UP. We have to stop the hand OUTs.

Those baby welfare number have to be multiplied by 18 for those kids to reach adulthood.

Someone mentioned abortion removes another 500k black babies, and I was curious to see some data, and he was right on the mark. I was surprised that it is that many.

I was 18 years old and still in high school when my now wife found out we were going to be parents. To say that I was scared shitless is an understatement... But, my father raised me to be independent and do the right thing. So, I married her (best decision of my life) and joined the Air Force. That was almost 8 years ago and we have never looked back. Until saturday when i bought a new toy, we owned everything we have. Its not a lot but its ours. Im not trying to brag because i don't feel like it was all my doing. My father raised me to be a man. It was just me and him so i learned to cook, clean and take care of myself. The things he taught me are the reason i have been as successful as i have. I think that is the key in all of this. The parents are not there to raise the children. Nor were there parents there to raise them... I believe it is a cultural issue that we are dealing with..

Lyndon Johson drastically changed the culture of America 50 years ago. The results of bad descisions are not always immediately seen.

About 5 years ago, the GF shows up at our business with a letter already typed up that she wanted us to sign. They had been caught and turned in. (It was during this discussion about the letter where we learned the cost difference.) They were told to prove he didn't live there, and to keep her reduced cost, they needed a letter stating he lived elsewhere from an employer or church. We refused to sign. Bottom line is she found someone else to sign the letter and still lives there today.

At that time, the then mayor was a friend and was in and out of our business. This was all brought to his attention. He asked the woman running the program about it. She told the mayor they had a letter on file stating Daddy lived elsewhere. End of discussion. As far as the employee is concerned, there is nothing to get mad at him about. He's simply using the system. That's where the anger needs to be directed. He was raised in the project and this is the life he knows.

Look, we all see this crap every day. Since moving to the Sylacauga area and becoming more deeply involved in the hiring process, I've been shocked at things worse than this. Some time when there's a thread started about the giving away of children, I'll chime in with a really good one.

I would say the graph for different races in prison would about the same.

Ppl are now seeing the importance of marriage and family.

It burns my A$$ every time I ride through the government housing and see H3's and corvettes parked there. And where I am talking about has almost no blacks. Maybe 5% blacks, 15% hipanics, 20% down on their luck folks who won't be there long and the rest white trash who don't have nuthin and don't want nuthin. Got enough spending money that they drive a nice car and smoke 2 packs of smokes a day. And I mean the good kind like Marlboro and Winstons none of this generic crap like the working class smokes now days.

I wonder what those numbers are now. The blacks can't get much worse, but I bet the whites are worse today.
