My apologies first of all, yes it must be weather shield. This is the first T/C rifle I have owned. And no it has not been back for the recall. I glad you mentioned this because I had planned on killing a few deer with it this season. And I do not know the exact leupold model but here is the serial number located under both adjustment knobs. 116687A. And I don't know how to post pictures. It will say what model scope on the objective end where it has the 3x9x50 numbers. Pretty vital info for anyone interested in buying the set up or just the scope.
