Does anyone in the state rent these things with the mulching attachment? I need to make some trails and its too much for a tractor/bush hog. I know i can rent one with brush cutter but I don't want stobs everywhere.

Cherokee Rent-all in Centre Al. has one I think. Centre, Al. 30 miles North of Gadsden. 800-564-2573 or 256-927-2255

Dozer is what you need. Much more fun too!

I'm pretty sure the Bobcat Rental place in Oxford, has them.

I would use a small dozer.

Don't you have to have an operator license to run a dozer (if you rent one)?

Don't think you HAVE to have an operators license, but a dozer will keep accumulating piles of trash. A mulching head will be able to keep going on a straight path instead of turning off to pile up material.

I'd do the mulcher if I could find one.

Call Best Rental & Supply in auburn and ask for Keith. I dont think he is on here, but he is the salesman there and a good fella. Im pretty sure they rent and sell just about any piece of equipment you could need. Tell him Chris sent ya and maybe it will knock a few bucks off the rental. (or he may charge you double.. not really sure). haha

Little FYI from my experience. A dozer will do more quicker and it is fun to run, but a dozer removes top soil and causes erosion.

There's a contractor in Pell City that had one when I worked that area. Great guy - you won't be disappointed in his work, and his experience with the machine will pay off.

Pm me if you are interested.

know a guy in Stevenson that did several weeks of work for us. Amazing the job those mulchers do. Not work for a dozer unless you don't mind a pile of debris and soil erosion.

If you want this guy's number PM me. Not sure how far he will travel.
