I was thinking at Little coon campground when the gates open for skwirrel season. We can do some camp cooking, shoot some tree rats, or just shoot the breeze.

I know several of yall are in leases in the valley there already, so it seems like a good spot.

An early morning hike down to the walls of Jericho would be fun that time of year too. I'll be up for whatever.

Would yall want to get there on a Friday afternoon and camp one night and hang out on Saturday? We could hunt rats, or take the kids on a 4wheeler ride. There is a good days riding available from camp.

If this weather pattern continued, it should be nice and cool.

Last time I was at Little Coon Mountain it was on fire. Spent Thanksgiving week that year up there putting it out.

I'd be in for a Friday night eating and a Saturday hanging out. Get to doing to much stuff and everyone is gone. It's all about some fellowship. Play some horse shoes, corn hole, sitting around a fire, tell lies and eat. I'm in, pick a date and I'll do my best to be there.

LOL! The second part of what you wrote is true. But if I had to put my money on who on aldeer knows more about Little Coon than anybody else....it would be ridgestalker. My consistent frequenting of Little Coon ended about 20 years ago when I moved away from God's country and ridgestalker never checked up on mashing deer and turkeys in there.

Oh yeah. Those two got a special tree up in there somewhere...

We need to work out the vittles and where to meet for those who don't know how to get in there. There is no cell service there. You have to ride about 5 miles out for service.

• 1 lunch (Sat) ~ We can probably skip this and let folks bring their own since we'll probably all be scattered all over the WMA scouting at lunch time

We need to start getting a head count. I don't mind doing the cooking if y'all will bring the stuff. There is a grocery store there about 10 miles from the camp ground, if we forget anything.

I like to make a mountain man breakfast. I'll have my dutch ovens. We can do biscuits, sausage, eggs etc. Pancakes and bacon are easy and go a long way also. I can bring a couple perculators for black coffee.
