haleyville al,
Alright guys havent bow hunted in a while its probley been 3yrs since I drew a bow. Im shooting a Mathews lx. Last time I had the bow out I worked b rownell wax into the strings and cables. Still a thick coat on it. Should I replace the string and cables before I start shooting again. Ive looked over them and don't see any wear on them.

It should be okay but it is always best to let someone look over it. 3 years is a pretty good length of time to be put up.

Three years.... I would replace the string before I even thought about shooting it......

This is the third year on this set of strings now and I assume I will be dropping it off for replacements before I start shooting this year. I keep a three year rule unless they start to fray earlier

120 for strings every three years is money well spent. I don't work on my bow so this makes it a perfect opportunity for me to have it reset to factory specs with a fresh set on it.

They need changing. They may not have been shot all that much, but they've been under tension for all that time.
