Good luck guys. I got drawn for one here in fl. Just out of curiosity, how much is the tag's' if you do get drawn? FL is $280.00 and that grants 2 tags, and also the opportunity to purchase 2 more for $60 if there are leftovers. Also those are fl resident prices; non resident was a little over a grand

Tags are free if you're drawn. It's now $22 per area to apply and you can only apply once for each area. There are three areas they issue tags for. Up until this year you could apply an unlimited number of times for $6 per chance.

I preferred the $6 unlimited chances myself. The only bright side to the new system is it saved me a lot of money.

Good luck everyone. I have a tag application in the West Central and Delta regions. I drew a tag the second year we had a season and killed a nice 10' gator north of the causeway. Hopefully I'll get lucky again this year. I'm glad they changed the draw system to accumulate points like similar big game draws out west.

That area issues 150. 158 should get you a tag.

I haven't checked mine yet but have talked to two in my group and so far we're 0 for 2.

So far 0 for 2 on our end. We still have a bunch more out though.

I got an alternant. Not lookin good. My buddy drove to Mibile last year and was #154 and didn't get one. I'm 178. Oh well

Can I give one of the tags to one of my pals? I drew for all 3 zones. First time I've tried too. There is no way I will be able to use all 3 of them.

I've drawn every year for the west central zone before this year. Last year I went to the class and they didn't even have records of me going to the previous 2
. So I would be careful about not going even though they say you don't have to.

Looks like I'll have two tag holders for this year again. Were gonna try and kill two the same night. Never happen but it will be interesting for sure hopefully we can get my buddy that killed the 7' last year on a good one then kill a good eater.

I didnt put in this year and saved a bunch of money. Got tired of putting in every year since they started and havent draw yet.kind of gets old spending 200 bucks and not get one.

Does anyone know someone who was an alternant and ended up with a tag. I have a buddy who was the 6th alternant in mobile last year went and didn't get one and also a buddy who was the 3rd in Camden and didn't get one. I'm thinking it's not worth the drive for me at 26th alternant.

I wouldn't waste my time there may be 1-2 drop out.

By the time my life clears up enough to even go frog gigging I think we will just go drink at R&R.....

None of my group got drawn but we will be at Pine Barren Creek the second weekend of season at my buddies river house. Any of you boys hunting Dallas or Wilcox County feel free to stop by and say hello. Its the camp on the river at the mouth at Pine Barren Creek with the two story boat dock.

My buddy just called and told me he was drawn as the last alternate in the west central zone, whoohoo we will be on the Alabama river for year #2

Will do, I hope it will be better this year than it was last year, 60 degrees at night and high water from all the rain last summer didn't help any. Hopefully we will get one a bit bigger than we got last year.

Scouted sat night and saw two around 8' and a bunch of small ones. I hope we find some better gators this sat.
