Trying to find a club near Birmingham to introduce my sons(10&6) to the outdoors. Need a club that doesn't have workdays since will probably only hunt a few times a year. Would like a place that has some deer not necessarily trophy but also allows some small game hunting just to keep the kids interested. Is there anything out there that fits this profile?

The "no work days" is going to be hard to find. Most clubs they are mandatory unless you pay a fine for not making them.

I would be willling to pay a premium to have no workdays since I may only get to make a few trips a year I would want to spend that time hunting as opposed to working. I would be ok with paying the fines other than I wouldn't want to be the only memeber not pulling his weight if everyone else was working.

Work days in most clubs are before the season opens. Workdays are a good time to gain intel from other members and learn the lay of the land.

I agree work days are not necessarily a bad thing but given the ages of my children and the time constraints we currently have we will be doing good just to find time to hunt.
