Pics and story later.3 year old,9.5" beard and sharp 7/8" spurs.  After fooling with a bird that didn't gobble much after fly down I was coming out of a place about 9 and stopped to shut the gate,I had fooled with a bird across the road last week so I decided to see if I could get him to answer me,I yelped and cut a few times and one answered me close to where I just came from,he sounded like he was a half mile across there,well I cut at him again and he answers so I decide to ride in there and try him,I get in the truck and crank up and decide not to go in there right yet so I cut the truck off and get back out just to see if this bird is gonna gobble some more,I get out and yelp a few times and nothing then cut and nothing,I give it a minute and cut again and he has already cut the distance in half so I grab my gun and stuff and break off down a logging road through some big thinned pines,I get about 50 yards down the road and yelp and he answers me right under the break of the hill so I sit down,I give it a minute and yelp and he answers right on top of me,a few seconds later I see him coming up the hill along with two other gobblers,I know they are coming so I don't say anything else,as soon as they get about 35 yards from me I pick one and lights out,this hunt lasted maybe 10 minutes.

Bill,he came off of that 80 acres Wayne has at Demmings,it was 3 of them,I hate the one bird a day in Alabama,could have finished my limit. Well, you know they are there atleast. I've never been on that place but Brian says it's a nice little tract. Jesse do any good this weekend?

Bill,Jesse went to the beach,he said he may not go again until he goes to Kansas. If he's off and knows ones gobbling I bet he goes. I'm heading back to bama next weekend. Brian said birds were gobbling on our place in crenshaw this weekend but they didn't get any to work. I'm sure their henned up but those birds usually gobble good.
