Just got home from spending the week there. I’m glad to be back home in god country. That’s all.

Yeah, I'm no fan of Texas after spending a week in Dallas and a week in San Antonio. It really does feel like a different country.

Just got back from two weeks in New Mexico about a hour north of El Paso. Not a fan of the desert. I need trees and green.

Don't judge the whole state on the big cities there.

The folks out in the country there are not much different than most of the folks on this site. I spent my teenage years plus some in east Texas and I could put a blindfold on you and take you places there from Covington County, AL and you would think you were still in Cov. Co.

Big cities are big cities no matter what state you are in. Texas is a wonderful place full of nature's beauty and a lot of good folks.

And April 20 can’t get here fast enough. Heading back to Sanora for our anual Axis/Rio hunt. I love it out there.

Now you get to wait on the toll tag bill to be mailed to you. Hint: Don't ignore it. The NTTA doesn't mess around with those who don't pay.

I visited Houston a while back and enjoyed it. Its a huge city but the nightlife was good and food was outstanding. I would go back for another trip. Traffic is a little insane but it was manageable if you stay out of rush hour. I thought the traffic was better than Atlanta.

I grew up in Texas and love it. I will say I hated going to Dallas, Houston or El Paso but most everything in between is great. Have some great memories along the border in Laredo and Del Rio too, of course we had to quit going once there was a pretty good chance of getting stuffed in a barrel. I go dove hunting in Truscott every year which is in west Texas and very secluded, its like stepping back in time. I hope to move back someday.

You missed the rest. Should have ridden out to somewhere like Midlothian. You would have had a different experience

We ended up Getting an Uber everywhere. The Uber drivers actually told us that Uber covers the Toll bill for them. Luckily we don’t have to worry about it either way, however it may of been cheaper than several hundred dollars on Uber rides lol

No doubt there are parts of Texas that are enjoyable, but not Dallas. Unfortunately for me, Dallas area was the only thing on the menu. I did eat a fine meal at a place called Al Biernat’s though. Nice place that I would recommend to anyone passing through.

Could have probably bought a nice Corolla for whatever our Uber bills total up too 😂

I used to hunt dove in Crowell on some of the wife's family land. It is a nice area of Texas to get lost in. My FIL was born in Truscott.

I got to hunt North Texas a few years back. Loved it up there. Could live there.

Used to work from time to time around Corpus Christi. Wasnt a fan.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
