Had my first one yesterday and it's definitely better than your average drive-thru burger. Few key points:

-They give you your food in a little cardboard box, makes driving and eating much better.
-Toppings are fresh
-Pricing is actually the same as BK, McD's etc. I had a double burger, lg fries, lg drink and milk shake for under $13

Overall, I'd take the time to go an extra mile or so for IN-N-OUT vs the others.

I agree. I ate at one in Dallas and the inside was spotless and the employees were as well trained as any CFA I've ever been in.

I ate at one out in Chino a few years back and I would agree with everything that was said above. The restaurant was spotless and customer service was excellent. It reminded me of Chick Fila but for burgers.

they are pretty good, Freddy's here tries to copy them with their "california burger", and shoe string fries, with little success. ate the whataburger double last night, it was real big but average fast food taste. I hear in and out is coming here to ruin their ruputation with sub par workers.

Oh, the fries are fantastic. Kind of a spin on McD's fries but with better flavor and texture.

I love InO and it's a treat whenever I'm out west. I kinda hate that they're expanding because at some point IMO the quality will decline. Plus, if they're everywhere then the saturation hits and the specialness is gone.

Love the double-double animal style and a shake.

I just ate at Vickys Lunch Van in Montgomery for $14 (no shake). It was some good grub. I ate In and Out a few times about ten years ago. I appreciate they put a bible verse on their boxes but food was just nothing special. Glad you had a good experience.

I can promise if they come here then the gump will ruin it

They’re ok. They’re definitely better than McDonald’s or burger king. Even Hardee’s. What I like is they have Bible verses in the seams of their paper goods. The cups and wrappers have it. If you’ll pay attention you’ll see it. They’re not as good as “The Habit” tho.

One of the few things I miss about California. In n Out, Me-n-Ed’s pizza and El Pollo Loco. And there was a guy off the 99 freeway between Visalia and Fresno at a gas station that had one of the best $6 Tri tip sandwich’s around. In PA school we’d drive there for lunch, fine as frog hairs.

Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.
