Damn shrinkflation. I was making my kid a sammich last night. When I placed the slice of American cheese on the bread, the cheese was over the edges of the bread.

Cheese shrinkflation hasn’t hit yet. It’ll all match up again soon

Wife showed me a tootsie roll the other day is less than half of what it once was

That’s like that Sara Lee Artesano bread from Costco. Definitely smaller than regular bread slice. Cheese slice also over the edges of the bread. rofl

Yet the government will say hey look these prices haven't risen that much...no chit the product is half the size....I'm just waiting on milk to come in 3/4 gallon

Wait till you open a box of graham crackers. Daughter wanted s’mores the other day. I felt the box jostling around before I opened it. Tons of empty space due to 1) less crackers, and 2) each cracker was maybe 2/3 - 3/4 size of the old ones! It was comical. They are truly tiny

Standard operating procedures regarding food.
Reduce the size/contents to keep the price the same.

Dog food bags have steadily decreased in size for years now.
50 lbs to 32lbs over several years

Go try to follow a recipe from an old cookbook... they are all jacked up now because the size of canned vegetables, soups, etc are all different from the 1970s and 1980s.

Yup, it fooled me the first time. I thought I had suddenly gotten stronger when I snatched the bag off the shelf.

Gatorade is 28oz instead of 32 and pop tarts are smaller.
