The 1st link is back up, here are the qualifications (I'm way to old)
Be a U.S. citizen
Be 21 years of age by the time that you complete the training academy and no older than 37 years of age at time of appointment.
Qualify based on education, specialized experience, or a combination of the two.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Pass a background and criminal history record check.
Pass a pre-employment medical exam.
Pass a pre-employment drug test.
Pass a pre-employment tax examination.
Be legally allowed to carry a firearm. What does being no older than 37 have to do with anything? Is that not blatant age discrimination? Sounds kinda similar to the military age requirements

Maybe we should all apply, infiltrate the system. Agree Unfortunately I don’t meet their maximum age requirement. Didn’t think it was legal to discriminate based on age??? Oh yeah, it’s the “government” doing it so that rule does not apply.

My father retired from the IRS as an ivestigator for well over 20years. He never carried a firearm.
