How much does a whisker biscuit slow an arrow down? Enough to make a difference?
I went with the biscuit because it was $23 at academy, and I have had much more success getting my bow more tightly tuned this year than I did last year with a drop away rest.
Thoughts?

There's not enough speed lost to matter. It's more preference BUT, it's definitely more fail safe. Enjoy
Great! thanks. That is what I was hoping to hear. I think I will stick with the biscuit being as it is the more risk averse move in regards to moving parts that could go wrong during the shot.

Whisker biscuits ain't bad rest for what they are. I even keep one in my travel box as a spare in case I have a issue I am bigger fan of of drop aways. I spend a good bit time tuning bows to eliminate fletching contact. That cannot be done with a whisker biscuit. I also think a biscuit can be influenced by torque more than a drop away as the arrow stays in contact longer.

Bought a Whisker when they first came out. Didn't like it at all, and gave it to a buddy for free. Bought a Ripcord Fall Away and been using those every since.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I have used both and I will never use anything else besides a drop away. I agree that the speed loss is minimal with a WB but a drop away is quieter and IMHO more accurate. Think about it. With a WB your arrow is in constant contact with the rest on multiple sides until the fletching passes through it. With a drop away as soon as you drop the string the rest is no longer in contact at all. As soon as that nock comes off the string your arrow is touching nothing but air. I could shoot well enough with a WB but I know my groups tightened up with a drop away. especially at longer distances.

WB’s are like training wheels on a bike. Great for kids but at some point you got to move on.
I shot drop rest for years. Whisker biscuit is foolproof for hunting within 50 yards. Nothing against drop rests however, biscuit is easy to tune and holds your arrow well. Personal choice but don’t let anyone tell you they are not good for hunting. That is BS!

I took the drop away off my new to me bow and put a WB on it. Just a confidence thing and would not shoot over 50 yds in any circumstance I am just that good or confident in bow shooting
