Coldest liquid nitrogen. Fastest dozer. Handiest cutoff wheel. Boltcutters ate nice.

Only hits count.

This x1000. I think it’s more dumbassery than intentional. I like to see 2 links between each lock rather than 3-4 locks hooked together.

I was suprised how easy a pair of Harbor Freight bolt cutters took out the Master Lock on Dads shop when he lost his key years ago.

If you get 2 big box en wrenches..an bigguns..if its a traditional bell lock….you put them back to back inside the bell..it will pop like its made of plastic..by far the easiest in my oppinion..way better than bolt cutters..an it works on way nicer locks than master lock

Let me turn that around on you - what about when timber companies lock out the landowner on his own gate when he is just being a nice guy to let you use his road? smile

I finally told one company to either give me one of their keys, or get the lock off my gate. Like others have said, I don't think it's intentional; a lot of people are just dumb or unconcerned. Most of the time it has been subcontractors who couldn't or wouldn't try to grasp the concept of multiple locks.

If you're using a lock that Harbor Freight bolt cutters or a pair of wrenches can pop open , you ain't using a very good lock.

I was in the timber business for 15 years. I removed countless Master locks with a pair of channel lock pliers and a hammer.

1. Grab lock with channel locks and apply downward pressure;

2. Tap on the side of the lock with the hammer.

When you tap it with the hammer it causes the spring loaded tumblers to bounce back in the open position, but only for a fraction of a second.
The downward pressure with the channel locks causes the lock to immediately open.

I won’t argue that. All bets are off when random contractors come and go.

I've cut more than one with a battery operated Dremel and a cutoff whee. That's not much wheel, but it's only cutting a kerf 1/32 or so wide.

Well this was Westervelts lock that they replaced mine with. Lease agent said to just cut it. So no easy way to get at it with bolt cutters. Or a hammer. I tried the open end wrenches trix too.

That carbine blade and a reciprocating saw did the trick.

I really don’t think it’s intentional. I’ve decided the majority of people have absolutely no concept of why it’s important that “all” locks on a gate be included when locking a gate back 🤬🤦🏼‍♂️.

No kidding i get aggravated when someone unlocks a lock connected to 3 others then locks it back on the chain not touching another lock...even on family property I don't have keys to everyone's locks be it contractors or whatever, I just cut em off everytime they do that crap

The advent of affordable cordless grinders has just about made “locked stuff” a suggestion for the honest. Anyone with a grinder and enough time and motivation can do a lot of damage

You're mighty right , spare battery and a handful of wheels , you can demo the whole gate.

Google open master lock with to wrenches. There’s some trick way to use them to pop one.

Typical Wal-Mart Master Locks aren't very good locks.
