All it would take is 100 rednecks to reclaim the Smithfield meats plants and any other assets that the Chinaman has in American soil. If need be. Assets are good if you can protect them but if Americans start starving then no foreign countries assets will stay theirs. Our contract law is stronger than you think. Assets aren't always owned by a single entity. It could be company owned by a company that's owned by partial foreign investors. And that company could also be in your pension/401k for your retirement. Things are always more complicated than they first appear.

Whatever the details are, China would NOT have air dominance. Chine would NOT of dominance of the seas. I sincerely doubt we would end of up troops on the ground in China. Russia has all it wants with Ukraine. They'll not step in and even if they did, it wouldn't help China dominate the air or sea.
China is sabre rattling and nothing more. If there is ever a country we should support, it's Taiwan. They are the last remnants of our original Chinese allies during WW2. They are the side that lost to the communists for dominance of China after WW2.
That's just my opinion. And it's not worth more than anyone elses on this forum.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Japan has built up their military. They have the latest for much military items. Japans constitution has not been changed to allow a true military. They currently are allowed to have a "self defense force" but there isnt a lot to it. They still depend on the US (mainly the 7th fleet headquartered in Yokosuka). The recently assassinated PM Abe's political party was pushing for a removal of the parts of their constitution that restrict their ability to have offensive assets. Interestingly it has been the US policy for 20+ years to allow them to rearm. If they do (and I fully expect them to do so) they will be a bigger thorn in Chinas side than we are. I would expect them to be to ones to stop Chinas slow takeover of the South China Sea.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

I've been waiting to see how long it took someone to bring that convenient little fact up. If a war or famine was to start, what is theirs now, would be ours by tomorrow. What the paper says is one thing, but physical possession of the assets and property is 99.999999% of the law in this case.

Whatever y’all think is going to happen with China, won’t be the case. They will cripple us another way. Not with a military. They know ours is too strong and they would never attack the US with ground troops. I don’t know how it would happen but I really think they have a different card up their sleeve. They’ve been playing the long game for decades. They’re like cancer in the US.The fingers of China are everywhere. Another very good point. Anybody on this forum ever heard of COVID? It was developed and intentionally released by the Chinese govt, with internal help from here at home, on the US and world populations. Heck, they even got us to help pay for the development of it.

Taiwan is of strategic importance to China for a number of reasons but the biggest reason is militarily. It's the unsinkable aircraft carrier that is within easy striking distance of their mainland. The United States has had a 1 China policy with respect to Taiwan for over 40 years. Everyone needs to educate themselves about what has changed that you are not being told and it's this: New China Legislation"We" are poking the Panda here. The aggressiveness of China over Pelosi ain't about Pelosi's visit. It's about a shift in Foreign Policy by the UNITED STATES with respect to an Island just off their coast who we have told them for over 40 years we view as part of China. Now, Lindsey Graham, who in my opinion is completely dangerous and wants to start wars anywhere he can find one... is changing our foreign policy in the background while Fox News and CNN talk about China being bullies on your TV. You have to seek the Truth in 2022. I am in no way Pro-China. However, those are the facts. China's intent is to become the dominate power in their corner of the world. Nobody is going to overthrow the United States. What they want is for the United States to no longer be relevant in Asia. Instead we are doing the opposite. But what we are not doing is treating China like they should have been treated all along.... as our enemy. Because that's who they are. This has everything to do with controlling shipping lanes. China want's economic dominance and they are doing a great job of attaining it. It's a total joke and absolutely insane that we are selling our Country down the river to a Chinaman. And everyone is ok with it. Walmart Loves it and so does Amazon. They donate to the Democrats. They promote more pro-China economic policy. CCP takes over our consumer markets and Amazon walks away rich and the American taxpayer loses. Totally insane.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
