Last Wednesday

I was attempting to repair our 3210 Bush Hog. The linkage from the center gear box to the side box had gotten loose and the yoke had become egg shaped and the inside splines were gone. The best way of replacing (in my opinion and past repairs) is removing or shifting the side box over to allow enough space to get everything back in timing.

To do so one needs to remove the stump jumper.

In doing so I had already bottomed out the make shift puller with Milwaukee 3/4" impact. It wasn't coming off. So I left pressure on it and started to hit the top side of the bolts holding the blades with a pin and sledge hammer and alternating 180 degrees to the opposite blade bolt. After many swings with the sledge and already working in the direct sun, I was just slap wore out. I was exhausted in the heat and just like a wet rag with the soaked clothes.

I was going to have to give up. I was at the point I was unsure what to do if this didn't come off with hitting it with the sledge.

I told the Lord I needed His help- "I have one more in me, I can't do this by myself I'm exhausted."
I hit the pin one more time and it didn't seem to make any more noise than the last beatings, but looked under the deck and it was released!!

I thanked the Lord then and there and went and sat down, and pondered on the situation and the Good Lord.

Did I believe the Lord would remove it with the one last swing of the sledge??
I truly believed He could, but I wasn't sure He would. I wasn't expecting it to happen, but I knew He could.
I didn't know His answer, but I trust in Him. It could of happened where it didn't come off that time, but later.

I honestly feel the Lord knew I was tired, exhausted and had no other way of going but to Him. I was raw, with no other coverups.
Some of us are like that and it takes everything we have ourselves before turning to Him. He makes us all different.
Maybe I should of seeked His help earlier? All this I pondered, and...

It reminded me of this scripture.

Jeremiah 29:12-13

12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart
.

Are you at your wits end, so tired you can't hide your true feelings?
Are you at a point of being honest, real, and just, exhausted, showing your true feelings and needing help??
Call upon the Lord, and He will answer not only in His guidance, but His Salvation if you do not know Him..

Father God,
Thank You for your Salvation by calling upon the name of Jesus, and believing upon Him, His death, burial, and being raise from the dead upon the third day. Thank You for prayer and always hearing your children and answering our prayers, pleas, and praises. Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and not giving us what we deserve due to our sinful nature,

May we continue to look to You and follow Your path for us.
May we honor Your Holy name with the strengths, talents, and abilities you have giving to each of us.
Be with those who are hurting, sick, tired, and weary. Bless them not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and Spiritually.

Thank You for what You have done, and thank You for what You are going to do!
For it is in the name of Jesus, our Redeemer, we ask and claim these things, Amen!

God Bless,
David B.

I’ve been there. I’ve been able to do things at work before that were way being my abilities, and I know for certain that God had a hand in it. John 15:5 says “he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” I firmly believe this.

Thanks for sharing David.

Jesus... I hope you know Him personally like I do.

Spot on David!!
Thanks for being a strong witness especially in these turbulent times we are living in.

We as men are usually wired to have that I can handle or fix this ______, mentality. And I do believe GOD gives us that ability, but HE wants to be with us along the journey. I think that is where our one on one relationship grows, in how often we include HIM on those journeys.

Again thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I needed that.

You should write a devotional book for working men. Seriously

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Yes Amen! I've been there myself.

Amen! I've asked Him to help me find a small part that had dropped. I walk away for a bit and return and it shows up. Lots of times with other things too. Like keep me safe when working around the tractor/farm. Thank You Lord for puttin' up with me.

Great post. Very moving and spot on. I don't think you would mind but I copied and pasted it on Facepage for more to have an opportunity to read.

Thankful for this site and the great men on here and their drops of wisdom.
