Forage sorghum. I left it out of the mix details 🤷♂️

Looks like you found Dave, he is a talker isn't he. Lol. I have been buying stuff from him for years and have always had great results with everything but that particular item, but I do not think it was the seeds fault.. Things have been so nuts in my life the last two years I could not make my normal Eagle bean/corn planting happen last year and planted the Sumer Browz. My buddies planted it, so I will not guarantee it was planted right, it was planted too late and did not get fertilized properly and my results did not look like that, obviously. As a matter of fact, when I got up to the farm 6 weeks after it was planted there was pretty much not a sign of anything in the field except the grain component. Don't know if it was germination problem or it just got ate, which has never happened at that stage. Of course, the same thing happened this year but with my normal bean/corn planting. Once again, my buddies planted it, did not prep field right, planted it too late and for the second year in a row I had a summer plot failure. Decent amount of corn came up but hardly any beans. I did not even fertilize it and will mow the whole field when I get back up. I may split it up next year and do about 1/2 bean/corn and 1/2 Summer Browz and give it a fair shot. I will be a full time Bama resident within about 2 months, so thank goodness, I will never ever have to depend on anyone to do anything up there again .It will get done by me, which means it will be done right and on time.

Brad you are correct....I gave Dave and his product a try this year and he will talk your ears off. Seemed like a nice guy and very knowledgeable about his products. I would be curious/interested to know what else of his products you have had good luck with. Have you used any of his fall blends? He has tried to sell me on the liquid fertilizer which I have not tried yet. I probably will in the future or try some of Plant Agra's liquid fertilizer which is out of Dothan as well. I have already reached out the rep for that company. Brad I'm not far away from you especially from my lease in Coffee Cty. I know your buddy Scott pretty well If I can help you in the future let me know. Since I have some of the stuff off my plate now I am considering doing some planting for other folks to justify owning a drill.

I have done his fall mix for many years and it has always done very well. Maybe too well. On a couple of my plots that got less browsing it would get too high by end of season. Only other complaint was last time I used it there were a couple of bags that were not mixed well. Last year Scott talked me into just basic seed wheat, rye oats, because he is a cheap SOB, and I agreed because I did not have time or energy to deal with it. I was very pleased with that too. Every plot was eaten down to a bright green 2' high putting green and the only tall rank growth was in exclusion cages. Which I like better than having it in the field uneaten.I may just go that route again, unless I am too lazy to mix it myself.
Now you are a little closer, depending on what side of Coffee County your lease is on, drive a little further east and come hunt with me. I believe you sampled the turkey hunting a few years back and the deer hunting is as good or better, at least for quantity. Quality ain't bad either .I will most likely be hunting pretty much every day this season, have plenty of room (especially during the week) and since I am going to be living there its time to meet a few more folks..
