I was told by a former gubernatorial candidate this past election that finished second, plus was an ambassador under Trump that Brit signed the MAGA pact before he endorsed her. What that means I have no idea.

Let’s be honest. President Trump wasn’t a fiscal constitutional conservative. Alabama isn’t a fiscal constitutional conservative state even though we think we are. Just look at who we vote for for governor and the senate. Moderates mostly. Is it better than a damn democrat? Yes without a doubt. It won’t ever change until we hold the republicans accountable for the way they vote by being a pain in their ass either with emails and phone calls. But not voting for the Republican candidate because they aren’t as far to the right as you we want them to be doesn’t solve anything.

The criticism of Alabama from conservatives across the nation is legitimate. Alabama need to get some real grit and balls and start voting for real conservatives.

You are preaching to the choir, but Brit won the primary because Alabama republicans voted for her…SOoooo………..

Not even close.

I can't stand Britt but if you think that corksoaker is better than Britt you're nuts.

This Anti-Britt group is amazing. (Again, I voted for Mo) They keep saying she is a RINO but never explain how. They say she is a closet Dem but cant tell you why. They say she is a Shelby disciple but cant tell you why that is bad. (Shelby brought over 1 billion of federal money into Alabama during his time in the senate. That is impressive even by DC standards.) They would rather have a total brain dead liberal democrat, that calls himself “Doctor” (a mail order PhD in theology) believes in reparations and the green new deal. Aligns himself with Terri Sewell that has never done anything for Alabama except cry racism. Be careful what you ask for, that same logic got Biden elected and look where we are today.

If you support all the big government spending that Shelby “ brought back to Alabama” makes him conservative then you don’t understand conservatism. That’s why many people consider him a Rino. If you look where her financial support came from you’ll understand why we believe she’s a Rino too. It would be rather nieve to think the 10’s of millions of Washington DC dollars that funded all those ads came her way for any other reason than they will get her support.

I dont support big government at all, BUT the reality of it is if Shelby had not been in a position to send the money to Alabama, it would have just gone somewhere else..(Like the pelosi bridge to nowhere) If this country is going to be a cash cow, Id just as soon it come here. Sticking your head in the sand and not playing the DC political game, you will sit back and watch the liberal states pull in the money. As for Shelbys wealth, you are 100% correct! But virtually every politician in DC takes advantage to make wealth, Republican, Dem, Libertarian, Independent all have made wealth. Even Mo Brooks is a millionaire since he has been in DC. This term RINO is convenient, when we dont like them, we call them a RINO. Fact is, Shelby has voted with the republicans on every major issue important to Alabamaians and I see no evidence that Britt will do any different. Yes, she was a lobbyist, but what does that prove? Do you honestly think she will side with the slime democrats on SCOTUS packing, Green New Deal, Impeaching Trump again, Jan 6 Insurrection BS, Open borders, banning guns, defunding police?? To quote Brandon, C’mon man!

Let's see.She was a lobbyist. She helped get Doug Jones elected. She was in favor of the gas tax. She is Mitch's girl. All sorts of out of state money funded her ad's. She refused to debate Mo.

The problem with the current republican's, minus a few is they still get suckered into doing a deal with the dem's, only to get bent over deliverance style after the fact. Just happened to McConnell, AGAIN!! When you are a good with the flow, do what the party leader wants kind of senator, well guess what? You are eventually going to sell out your constituents in the state you claim to represent.

Alot of people think bringing money to our state is a good thing. However, if you have 100 senators focused on bringing tax dollars to their states rather than cutting the taxes we pay, what has been accomplished? We have bigger issues to fry then worrying about whether some low income families don't get assisted lunches at school because we don't have woke bathrooms. Our country is 30 Trillion in debt. SS is in trouble, because these same politicians have taken that money and spent it and issued an IOU. That's OUR money. I have been paying into it for 39 years. I wonder what I would have amassed if that money had been stuck in a growth mutual or index fund? A heck of alot more than I have now.

Britt is no Marjorie Taylor Green. She is no Sarah Palin. She is no Lauren Broebart. All she is is a homely looking woman with an irritating voice that is fixing to make her family rich, all because she has an R by her name, and we don't have a good option to send to Washington to represent us. And that is why I will not vote for her.

She doesn’t have to be

As long on major issues she voted with the republicans were better off

Do you remember how Doug Jones voted?

Doug Jones got a great government job with the Biden administration for his voting record

See how it cuts both ways.

I get the moral compass, I think we’re beyond that.

I don't like much of what I've heard from Britt, but I will vote for her. Trump couldn't get many of his policies through because so many in AL wouldn't vote for Moore. I don't think that was a good thing, and would hate to see it repeated.

I must also rise in defense of lobbying. That's the only way that we have to influence the legislature, and choosing to participate in the process does not mean one has lost their moral compass. Dan Ireland lobbied the legislature for decades as ALCAP director, and I doubt anyone reading this had a moral compass that equalled his.

I know I wouldn't claim to be anywhere near the man he was, but I did spend some time lobbying for vocational education. That was the worst job I ever attempted, and my side lost out to those who preached that every kid should go to college.

There may be a lot of evil lobbyist, but I don't think lobbying makes one evil.

Amazing. And the same people complain about how messed up Alabama politics is. I wonder why. I like to think most of them are just talking and when the time comes to vote for Britt or that, they will make the right decision. But y’all did give us Dougie for a while so anything is possible.

This fight is past due by at least 20-30 years.

The political spectrum has shifted way left. The left has always known the battle is for the middle so they’ve pushed and pushed left. They’ve won that battle because we will never get the shift back to the right until something terrible happens. The left funds their own while we work and toil our life away providing for our families.

It’s all by design
