Wife call me fri week ago at 730 in morning . Tree bout that size fell at end of driveway sometime after I left at 430. Got struck by lightning few years back . I knew it was bout time . It fell across county rd also. I call them to get road unblocked . They saw it up enough to get grader push it out of road .i cut up at least 6 Rick of wood out of it when I got home . Me an another guy had it loaded before dark on a 16’ trailer . I sawed up trunk into 6ft chunks. County was suppose to come pick it up but haven t seen them. It was over 5’ across butt . It was hollow an rotten in middle . I got 461 an had sharpen it twice From all the old nails in it . If county don t show up guess have take tractor an push into pile an burn. I enjoy running a sharp saw an have cut lot timber with one when I was younger but I’m not climbing a tree with one . Don t have proper tools for that . I respect people that do that .

Very impressive! I've got a red maple in the yard that I have gotta trim or it's gonna eventually fall on the house. My wife wants me to hire it out, but I am confident I can manage it. If I stop posting, y'all will know I was wrong.

Theres a truck/machine that looks like a knuckleboom but the loader reaches 50-60ft i guess and has a sawhead on it. Itll reach out grab the limb, saw it, then place it in the dumpbed. Thats about the coolest thing ive seen pertaining to tree cutting. I watched a video of a guy that pulled up to a pretty good size oak and cut it and loaded it all with the same piece of equipment. Then drove away with it. That was pretty awesome
