This STory is embarrassing to share but if it could help somebody that could act as dumb as I did today - then it’s worth it
I went to lease today - kept truck back toward gate since some roads little wet and I took ranger to putt out some lime. Put several bags in an already plowed area. Then I got to my buck field and grass was really high - I was going to leave. I decided to ride around a little to flatten grass then put lime out - it’s a small field. I finally made to quick donuts after just riding for a while - I hav done this in past and it clears out a spot quick. Dang ranger flipped over. Could not move for about 20 seconds - landed on my head and elbow. Head scratched - elbow throbbing - thought it was broke - it was not. Walked out thanking the Lord it was not lot worse. Feel pretty stupid sharing but if it could help sombody it worth it. Don’t do donuts on a ranger. Several areas of my body starting to throb hours after. Maybe ranger ok - could not get it off it side - could not use arm much

Glad you made it out. Definitely could have been really bad.
If you get to feeling really sleepy, headache, nausea, mood swings, dizzy headed, get checked out for a concussion. That's not a thing to delay being seen about.

Dang T glad you made it out relatively uninjured. If you start to have more concussion symptoms you need to get checked out. Lesson learned there, Hind sight is 20/20. Hope you are able to get the buggy out and everything is ok.

Note to self, Ford ranger is not a good set of discs..... I think it was a Polaris.

Oh man. I’m glad you’re ok. People have died that way.
My best friend of mine did that once. He was trying herd a calf back to the barn and made a quick turn to the left. As the ranger was tipping over he instinctively stuck his leg out (no doors) to try to keep it upright. It fell on him and snapped his fibula (lower leg bone) in two and it was a compound fracture. Cell phone went flying out and he couldn’t reach it and he was pinned under the machine. By the grace of God a few minutes later his wife came home early from shopping and as she’s driving down the long driveway she saw him in the pasture and called 911. He was going into shock and almost passing out from the pain. Her laying next to him both crying and waiting for help was gut wrenching to hear. He had a major surgery and is good now but he’s blessed to be alive and walk.
He is the reason that I always put my seatbelt on and doors latched when I’m riding in a SXS.
Oh, and no attorney would take his case because he didn’t have the doors on.

I’m wondering who he thought he had a case against and why .

I’m wondering who he thought he had a case against and why . I’m not sure but I think he just tested the waters. He knew he’d be lucky if anyone would take it but he stuck it out there because in the past manufacturers had settled cases like this. This happened almost 20 years ago.

If you drive or ride in a SxS, wear your seatbelt!
TDog93, you are lucky, bet it never happens again.

I’m wondering who he thought he had a case against and why . When Yamaha first started making the Rhino they didn’t have doors or nets or anything. Several folks got legs broke from rollovers, near rollovers, etc. Cost Yamaha lots of money and now all Yamaha Rhinos have doors. The guy mentioned didn’t have a case because Polaris Rangers have always came with protective netting “doors”. So the only way the guy stuck his leg out of the machine was either 1) he didn’t have the “door” closed and snapped into place or 2) he had totally removed the “door”, either of which is warned against in the owners manual. Today many SxS’s stay in limp mode unless the seatbelt is fastened.
