Bless her heart, she needs to go back to shine school. That’s 30 barrels of mash, not 30 barrels of moonshine. 😃

That's not for moonshine. That is just preparing corn for hog hunting. Grape Kool-Aid to be added later.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

She doubled down on her ignorance and made a second post that said she knew those were mash barrels but they found barrels of distilled liquor too. Horsechit. Buckets, jugs, or jars…maybe. Too hard to carry barrels out of the woods.

Her comment that I saw said that the distilled moonshine was disposed of. No mention of what kind of container it was in.

Barrels (plural) of finished product would be a BIG operation!

Now hang on there Buster....You Obviously don't know the history of Making "Shine" in Bullock County. The area has numerous Springs.....hence the name "Union Springs" the county seat. PUREST watta' you'll find anywhere.....very sandy land which makes it so pure. Clyde May.....along with many others started right after WWII making some of the most sought after Shine in East Alabama in an area called "Conecuh Ridge". Got busted several times. The recipe for what he called "Alabama Style Whiskey" was bought by a Distillery in Indiana. That's what I drink....it is available at the State Store. VERY SMOOOOOOTH!!

I used to get some at a convenience store in Stills Crossroads.

They don't make anything but Hooch in that neck of the woods. Spring or no spring.... you can't make the good stuff without the correct water and they don't have it.. Pure has nothing to do with it it's the minerals and hardness. My guess would be they are running cheap nasty liquor and it's being sold around Union Springs which is a den of hood rats and thieves. I would venture to guess that's what that operation was all about.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

True . There's a reason the good stuff is made up and down Appalachia , middle TN and KY , Limestone spring water.

I would be surprised if the owners names aren't Davis.
