I'll be honest, the more the media tells me I should be concerned about Jamal Khashoggi, the less I actually care. They do things differently in the middle east, dissidents don't get treated good. My guess is he was much more than just a "journalist". I have wondered how much proof there is that the Saudi government had him killed? I'm not saying they didn't, just saying that I am not convinced just because CNN says it. Does anyone know the answer to this? I have also been very skeptical that their government had anything to do with 9/11. It seems unreasonable to me to hold any government responsible for the actions of rogue citizens. I don't have much interest in pro golf anymore, but it seems to me that there is a lot of hypocrisy involved in the criticism of the players. Anyone who condemns them oughta make sure that they never buy any gasoline refined from Saudi oil, and I doubt many are doing that.

Once again...
We are concerning ourselves with a bunch of spoiled rich guys playing a game.
The question should be: Why do any of us care?
Because the brainwashing media says we should care. I’m sure sone of those guys are spoiled. I have an acquaintance on the PGA and I’ve watched him claw and scratch to get back on tour after losing his card due to an injury he received on the tour. It wasn’t an easy grind at all and most of these guys put in 12-15 hour days 6-7 days a week. They have very little downtime. That’s why you are seeing big names jump to the other tour. It’s guaranteed money with less “grind”. Like I said before you have to be real hungry to win on the PGA Tour which requires and bunch of hours practicing. Would you practice that much knowing you are gonna get a $100k(minimum)check regardless of where you finish? I don’t foresee the guys moving to the LIV to be as competitive say 12 months down the road. I could be wrong though. Most folks don’t realize what it actually takes. When tiger was at the top of his game his practice regiment was grueling. They also do weight work and sport psychotherapist are part of the equation.

When I was being recruited for college I got to see behind the curtain a few times and have a buddy who made the tour for a few years. It’s absolutely ridiculous the amount of work those guys put in. Also the tv doesn’t allow you to comprehend how good they are either. I remember thinking I was hot stuff because I could hit the ball 320 down the gut and was getting D2 looks. Then I played with some guys on the Nike tour at the time (Korn Ferry tour now). The ball just left their club face completely different. I realized I wasn’t in the same league with those guys and they’re the ones not good enough to make the PGA.

I don't begrudge anyone in any field trying to make more money with less work. Couldn't care less about any of it. And I love Golf.

There's nothing more American than the Saudis owning our golf tournament.
I hear Greg Sankey is in a palace in Riyad negotiating selling the SEC conference to the crown prince.
